Wood-Boring Insects

The term Wood-boring Insects, usually described by the layman as "woodworm", applies to a large number of insects that will destroy the timber of a building unless it is preserved against them. The insects lay their eggs on the surface of the wood, into which the  emerging larvae bore and then tunnel for carrying periods, often many years. Considerable damage, which can eventually cause the structural weakness of the timber, will result. Subsequently, after pupation, they emerge as winged adult beetles through the "flight holes" that we see as evidence of their presence.

ERADICATION
Should your property be suffering from attack by one of the wood-boring insects, we will carry out a survey and produce for you a full survey report, with recommendations as to the treatment to eradicate the attack, together with a quotation for the work. Subject to your accepting the quotation, we will then send experienced, considerate and trained Technicians to carry out the treatment for you.
